YOUTH MINISTRY

It is one of our great pleasures to be able to walk alongside teenagers in a time of their lives when they are discovering who they are.
We aim to have a personal relationship with them as they navigate what it means to have a life built around faith in Jesus.

We gather on Wednesday nights throughout the school year for Youth Group. Based on the ages of the schools in our district, our group is combined 7th-12th grades. We have dinner together followed by games, activities, and a Bible lesson. 

Outside of our regular Youth Group gatherings, we provide opportunities for youth to gather in fun, casual settings.
These can may include game nights, movie nights, lock-ins, area outings, and more. 

Each year we take our youth to a few different retreats aimed at further developing their relationship with God. In the fall we attend the Fall Youth Retreat at Camp Indianola, one of our United Methodist Church camps. It's located on the Olympic peninsula, across the water from Seattle. Over Memorial Day weekend, we attend Convo, a large youth conference, at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA.

Every summer our youth group takes a trip to serve in missions. Each year is a little different, but work can include construction/repair projects, site cleanup, food bank, children's programming, homeless outreach, and more. Recent trips have included San Diego, CA (2019), Cortez, CO (2018), Portland, OR (2017), and Coeur d'Alene, ID (2016).
