PASTOR DAVID PARKER: Born in ’62, and “again” in ’81. The middle child of five who got bumped to the top “before my time” to lead some amazing churches and grow personally along the way! I played Tonka’s and trains in the 1960’s, cut my teen-teeth on pop-rock music of the 1970’s, discovered college, Christ and Cara (my wife) in the 1980’s (all in that order), began the long (wink) journey of parenthood in the 1990’s, woke up one day to the stalled realities of metabolism, gravity and the importance of exercise in the 2000’s, and am now learning about empty-nesting, mid-life challenges and parenting a new boy named Jackson (an Australian Shepherd/Lab/Bluetic Hound mix) in the 2010’s!  Life is good!

What matters most to me is Jesus; knowing him and making him known to others. I believe in faith that is relationship not religion. I believe in connecting people more than conducting programs. I believe in creating hope and not cowering in fear. I believe that Jesus is everything we’ve ever longed for and the provider of all that we need.

I am a native of Washington State. Born and raised in Spokane. I attended secondary school on Mercer Island and went on to graduate from Western Washington University with a BA in Demography (Sociology Department). After getting married in 1986, we moved to Pasadena, California where I attended Fuller Theological Seminary, graduating in 1990 with a Masters of Divinity in Theology. I served a rural church circuit in Northern Idaho and Western Montana for five years and ministered for four years in Walla Walla, Washington. I spent 17 years at the helm of Central Church in Richland, Washington and arrived on the beautiful shorelines of Oak Harbor, Washington in 2016

My passion is to help people come to know, love and trust Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Through him, I want all people to experience three amazing discoveries; life, belonging and purpose!  My wife Cara and my twin children (Caleb and Caitlin) have joined me on this quest. They feed my soul and warm my heart. Outside of the Holy Spirit, my family is my greatest asset in ministry! Come and join our family for this most fulfilling quest!
